I am surprised I like this anime as much as I do. Actually, I started reading the manga a while ago and found it boring, therefor I stopped reading it. I can not recall how I found out about the anime series but I believe I was drawn to Luka's appearance. Also, everything about the anime was right up my alley. There's magical powers, boy's love and demons! Get a better understanding of the series here.

The series revolves around an orphan named Yuki. He enjoys take care of others. Therefore, he puts others before himself. All of his former lives were female, which he can not remember.
Personally, I find Yuki rather annoying. He says he wants to help the people he cares about but in the final battle of the series he mostly just watches. He doesn't even yell out when Luka receives a serious blow.

Luka is a duras, which is basically a demon, who fell in love with the Yuki from a past lifetime. He vowed to his love that he will always protect her sole no matter how times it is reborn or what shape it takes. He betrayed his family to be with her, therefore he is known as such.
I absolutely love Luka! He stays by the soul of the person he loves, even though the feelings are not returned. Therefore, he is sad and rather lonely. You can tell by his expression that he truly loves Yuki.
